Imran Saleh

Jalebi began with Imran’s own search. Like many Ismailis, he wanted to marry within the community, and found out how hard that is when your community is small and scattered across the world. The big dating apps were not built for it, introductions only reached so far, and meeting the right person came down mostly to luck.

So he built what he wished had existed: one place where Ismailis anywhere can find each other, verified and private, run by people who care how it turns out. Jalebi exists so nobody else in the Jamat has to leave something this important to chance.

Marketing, Events And Matchmaking

Noreen

Houston dentist with a DDS from UTHealth—and a singer when she’s not in the chair. A recipient of the International College of Dentists Humanitarian Award, she’s passionate about service, music, and community. She’s participated in various Ismaili music projects and volunteers with the Aga Khan Foundation. She joined Jalebi for the part no algorithm can quite figure out: taking the time to truly understand who someone is.

Eva

Born and raised in India, Eva brings a background in Psychology and Leadership from Wilfrid Laurier University, along with a genuine curiosity about people and their stories. She’s a creative problem solver, advocate for mental well-being, community builder, and believer in creating spaces where people can authentically be themselves and form meaningful connections. She values that Jalebi is made by Ismailis, for Ismailis, and is always happy to help make your experience safe, welcoming, and special.

Community Initiatives

Aleha

An Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Texas Children’s Hospital, with a Master of Science in Nursing from Emory University. She specializes in pediatric hematology/oncology and stem cell transplant and speaks English and Spanish. Aleha met her husband on Jalebi, and they now have their Jalebi baby! Aleha helps plan the get-togethers as someone who has already been through the twists and turns of dating.

Heena

From corporate finance to a creative entrepreneur, Heena joined the Jalebi team to tell the community’s love stories the way they deserve to be told. She manages social media and content with a creative eye that turns content into genuine connection. Community-driven and endlessly curious, she finds her inspiration in art, culture, and travel that actually changes how you see the world.
