Law Enforcement Guidelines
Last updated 28 September 2026
These guidelines are for law enforcement and government agencies seeking information about users of the Jalebi app, jalebi.me and Jalebi Matchmaking, which are operated by Jalebi LLC, a company based in Wyoming, United States.
If you are a Jalebi user asking about your own information, please see our Privacy Policy instead. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
1. Our approach
We may preserve or disclose information in response to valid legal process, to meet a legal obligation, to investigate suspected child exploitation or other crime, or where legally permitted and reasonably necessary to address an imminent risk of death or serious physical harm.
We review every request under applicable law. We may object to, or ask to narrow, a request that is unclear, overly broad or not legally valid.
2. Legal process we require
Except in the emergencies described in Section 5, we disclose non-public information about a user only in response to legal process that is valid and properly served under applicable law. For requests under United States law:
- A subpoena for basic subscriber records, such as the name, email address, phone number and account dates we hold.
- A court order under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(d) for other non-content records, such as account activity and transaction records.
- A search warrant for the contents of communications and other stored content, such as messages and photographs.
3. How to submit a request
Send requests by email to info@jalebi.me with “Law enforcement request” in the subject line, or by post to:
Jalebi LLC
1309 Coffeen Ave, STE 1200
Sheridan, WY 82801, USA
We accept requests by email for convenience. Doing so does not waive any objection, including to jurisdiction or proper service. Please include:
- The name of the requesting agency, and the name, title and badge or ID number of the requesting officer.
- An official government email address and a phone number where the officer can be reached.
- The details that identify the account, such as the email address, phone number or name used with Jalebi.
- The specific information requested and the date range it covers.
- A copy of the legal process, and any response deadline or nondisclosure order.
4. Preservation requests
On receiving a preservation request from a government entity under 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f), we will take reasonable steps to preserve the relevant records we still hold for 90 days while formal legal process is obtained. The preservation can be extended once, for a further 90 days, on a renewed request.
5. Emergency requests
Where we believe in good faith that an emergency involving danger of death or serious physical injury to any person requires disclosure without delay, we may disclose information without legal process, as United States law permits (18 U.S.C. § 2702(b)(8) and (c)(4)).
Send emergency requests to info@jalebi.me with “EMERGENCY DISCLOSURE REQUEST” in the subject line. Describe the emergency, explain why it is imminent, say how the information requested would help prevent the harm, and give the name and contact details of the requesting officer.
6. Information we may hold
Depending on the service a person uses, and as described in our Privacy Policy, we may hold:
- Account details, such as name, email address and phone number.
- App profile information, photographs, messages, matches, reports and blocks.
- Jalebi Matchmaking application answers, photographs, consultation information and notes made by our matchmaking team.
- Subscription and transaction records. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and Jalebi does not store full payment card numbers.
- Selfie verification results for the app. The verification provider may keep a verification session for up to 30 days.
We keep information only for as long as our Privacy Policy describes. When a person deletes their app account, its profile and ordinary account data are removed from our active systems, so some information requested may no longer exist.
7. Notice to users
We may tell an affected user about a request for their information before we disclose it, unless we are prohibited from doing so by law or court order, or telling them would risk harm to any person. If notice would harm an investigation, please include a nondisclosure order or explain why in your request.
8. Requests from outside the United States
Jalebi LLC is a United States company. We may ask authorities outside the United States to make their request through a mutual legal assistance treaty, letters rogatory or another process recognised under United States law. Emergency requests may be made as described in Section 5.
9. Child safety
Jalebi has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. When we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material, we preserve the relevant information and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as United States law requires, and we may report other suspected exploitation to the appropriate authorities.
