Acceptable Use Policy

1. Adults only

Jalebi is intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use our Services.

You may not:

• Create or maintain an account if you are under 18.
• Misrepresent your age or the age of another person.
• Use Jalebi to contact, solicit, groom, exploit, or engage in sexual or inappropriate interactions with a minor.
• Upload, distribute, request, promote, or facilitate child sexual abuse material (“CSAM”) or other content involving the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors.

Jalebi has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation.

2. Illegal activity

You may not use Jalebi to engage in, facilitate, promote, encourage, arrange, assist, or attempt any activity that violates applicable law.

This includes using Jalebi to:

• Commit or facilitate criminal activity.
• Solicit or arrange illegal goods or services.
• Facilitate money laundering or other unlawful financial activity.
• Encourage or assist another person in violating the law.
• Circumvent legal restrictions or sanctions.

3. Human trafficking and sexual exploitation

Jalebi may not be used to engage in, promote, facilitate, arrange, encourage, or assist:

• Human trafficking.
• Sex trafficking.
• Sexual exploitation or abuse.
• Sexual assault or sexual violence.
• Sexual coercion.
• Forced or non-consensual sexual activity.
• Grooming or exploitation of vulnerable people.
• Prostitution.
• Escort services.
• Commercial sexual services.
• Solicitation or payment for sexual activity.

Jalebi is a dating and matchmaking service and may not be used as a marketplace or intermediary for commercial sexual activity.

4. Sexually explicit and non-consensual content

You may not upload, send, request, distribute, or promote:

• Pornographic or sexually explicit content.
• Content primarily intended for sexual gratification.
• Non-consensual intimate images.
• Images or recordings shared without the subject’s permission.
• Sexual content depicting violence, exploitation, coercion, or abuse.
• Deepfakes or manipulated sexual imagery involving a real person without that person’s consent.

5. Fraud, scams, and deceptive conduct

You may not use Jalebi to deceive, defraud, manipulate, or financially exploit another person.

Prohibited conduct includes:

• Romance scams.
• Investment or cryptocurrency scams.
• Requests for money made under false pretenses.
• Impersonating another person or organization.
• Using false identities or materially false profile information.
• Phishing or attempting to obtain passwords, financial details, authentication codes, or other sensitive information.
• Blackmail or extortion.
• Misrepresenting your intentions for financial or other improper gain.
• Promoting pyramid schemes, fraudulent opportunities, or deceptive commercial arrangements.

Users should never send money or provide sensitive financial information to someone solely because they met through Jalebi.

6. Harassment, threats, and abuse

You may not:

• Harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or abuse another person.
• Encourage violence or physical harm.
• Engage in bullying or repeated unwanted contact.
• Make credible threats of violence.
• Blackmail or extort another person.
• Publish another person’s private information without authorization.
• Attempt to locate or monitor another person without permission.

Users must respect another person’s decision to stop communicating or decline an introduction.

7. Hate and discrimination

You may not use Jalebi to promote hatred, violence, or unlawful discrimination against a person or group based on characteristics protected by applicable law.

You may not use threatening, dehumanizing, or abusive content targeting protected groups.

This restriction does not prevent users from expressing lawful personal preferences relating to dating or matchmaking, where permitted by law and consistent with Jalebi’s policies.

8. Spam, solicitation, and unauthorized commercial activity

Jalebi is intended for genuine dating, matchmaking, relationship, and community interactions.

You may not use Jalebi to:

• Advertise unrelated businesses or services.
• Send unsolicited commercial messages.
• Recruit users into sales schemes or multi-level marketing programs.
• Promote investment opportunities.
• Solicit donations without authorization.
• Recruit users for another dating or matchmaking service.
• Harvest or collect member information for marketing or other unrelated purposes.
• Conduct mass messaging or spam campaigns.

9. Authenticity and impersonation

You must provide truthful information about yourself.

You may not:

• Impersonate another person.
• Create an account using another person’s identity.
• Use photos that falsely represent who you are.
• Falsely claim qualifications, employment, affiliations, relationship status, or other material facts.
• Manipulate verification processes.
• Attempt to bypass identity, photo, age, or safety verification.

10. Privacy and personal information

You may not:

• Publish or distribute another person’s private information without permission.
• Share private messages, photos, profiles, or matchmaking information without authorization where doing so violates that person’s rights or our Terms.
• Obtain personal information through deception.
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect information about Jalebi users.
• Use information obtained through Jalebi for unrelated commercial purposes.

11. Platform security and misuse

You may not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Jalebi systems or accounts.
• Probe, scan, test, or exploit security vulnerabilities without authorization.
• Circumvent security, moderation, payment, verification, suspension, or account restrictions.
• Use bots, crawlers, scrapers, or automated systems to access Jalebi without authorization.
• Distribute malware or malicious code.
• Interfere with the operation or security of our Services.
• Create replacement accounts to evade a suspension or ban.

12. Financial activity

Unless Jalebi expressly provides a feature for that purpose, you may not use Jalebi to:

• Transfer money between users.
• Process payments on behalf of another person.
• Sell financial products or investments.
• Solicit cryptocurrency investments.
• Facilitate gambling or wagering.
• Conduct fundraising campaigns.
• Facilitate transactions involving prohibited or illegal goods or services.

Payments to Jalebi are solely for Jalebi’s own services and are processed through authorized payment providers.

13. Dangerous and prohibited goods or services

You may not use Jalebi to buy, sell, advertise, distribute, or facilitate unlawful or restricted goods or services, including where prohibited by applicable law:

• Illegal drugs.
• Weapons sold or transferred unlawfully.
• Stolen goods.
• Counterfeit goods.
• Fraudulent documents.
• Exploitative or illegal services.
• Goods or services associated with trafficking or exploitation.

14. Misuse of Jalebi Matchmaking

Participants in Jalebi Matchmaking may use information about a proposed match only for evaluating that potential introduction.

You may not:

• Publish or distribute another participant’s matchmaking profile without permission.
• Use matchmaking information for business, recruiting, investigation, harassment, or other unrelated purposes.
• Contact someone outside the introduction process in a way that violates their privacy or clearly expressed wishes.
• Attempt to obtain money, investments, employment, immigration benefits, or other improper benefits through a matchmaking introduction.

15. Reporting violations

If you encounter conduct that violates this Policy, you may report it using Jalebi’s in-app reporting tools or contact us at:

If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency services.

Suspected child sexual exploitation, trafficking, serious violence, or other criminal conduct may be reported to appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.

16. Enforcement

Jalebi may investigate suspected violations of this Policy.

Depending on the circumstances, we may:

• Remove content.
• Limit account functionality.
• Require additional verification.
• Temporarily suspend an account.
• Permanently terminate an account.
• Prevent a person from creating additional accounts.
• Preserve relevant records.
• Cancel or restrict access to Jalebi Matchmaking.
• Report conduct to law enforcement, child-safety organizations, payment providers, or other appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.

We may take action without advance notice when reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with law, or preserve the integrity of our Services.

17. Attempts and facilitation

A violation of this Policy includes not only committing prohibited conduct yourself, but also attempting, encouraging, assisting, arranging, promoting, or facilitating prohibited conduct by another person.

18. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy periodically to reflect changes to our Services, safety practices, legal obligations, or payment-provider requirements.

The current version will be posted on our website with the date it was last updated.

If there is a conflict between this Policy and our Terms & Conditions, the Terms & Conditions will control unless applicable law requires otherwise.
