Why is there an authorization hold for a Jalebi event?
For Jalebi events that require registration approval, registering places a temporary authorization hold on your payment method. This is not the same as a completed charge.
If your registration is approved, Jalebi collects the event payment when you are accepted. If your registration is not approved, the authorization hold is released rather than captured as an event charge. The time for a released hold to disappear from your account can depend on your card issuer.
Some event registrations are reviewed to balance attendees across age groups. A waitlist or declined result does not necessarily mean there is a problem with you or your payment. The reason for a particular event decision can be confirmed by support; age balancing should not be assumed to explain every decision.
If you see a completed charge despite not being accepted, email Jalebi support with the event name, registered email, and transaction date. Do not email a complete card number.
